About HydroSpec

Incorporated in 2000 by Chris Geist and John Evans, HydroSpec has quickly become the leader in stormwater project management in the southeast United States.

With the combination of John's 20+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, and Chris' technical background in Civil Engineering, HydroSpec was immediately able to assist clients in remaining compliant under the NPDES stormwater permit.

Two years later HydroSpec expanded their services to include the implementation of erosion control recommendations. The additional services, coupled with the comprehensive project management approach, were an immediate success.

With both project management and implementation services now in-house, clients no longer need to work with numerous different vendors to stay in compliance. HydroSpec's project managers provide all the necessary services to comply with stormwater management laws.

In 2004, Chris purchased John's stock and moved the company from Tate, GA to its new headquarters in Canton, GA. Beginning with this move, HydroSpec established branch offices throughout the southeast, primarily Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee. With a central management team in Georgia and regional project managers, HydroSpec provides the personalized service that they are known for throughout the southeast.

A subsidiary - Erosion General - was formed in 2007 to handle the retail side of erosion control. Erosion General partners with only the best vendors to ensure HydroSpec clients, as well as independent retail customers, receive the optimal products for their erosion control projects.

HydroSpec is proud to work with hundreds of contractors, builders, and state and federal agencies.
